This morning saw a long drive to Stansted and back to pick up a new boat for Local Athlete and good friend of mine, Adam Burgess's new boat which arrived with no time to spare as he is leaving tomorrow afternoon for a months training in OZ.

I arrived back in Nottingham just time for my Speed Resistance session that I had planned in with my training buddy Marvin Rounce. The session was tough when increasing the resistance on the boat by attaching tennis balls to the bottom but it felt so good when the final set was back to no resistance. Nothing like the sound of a boat aquaplaning. Even the Sun decided to turn up for the occasion!
